For Polyneon 40 weight thread it is standard practice to use the #75/11 needle. If you are a more experienced embroiderer, you may also use the #65/9, which will give your design a crisper look.

OK. I have a question. Can I use the Patone number from your color charts to match thread recommendations from designs done with another thread manufacturer's Pantone number? I thought it might be a good idea, but their card and your card give multiple threads for the same Pantone number? I don't understand how the same number can be assigned to more than one thread color. I've never been able to match up colors - I can't see the subtle differences between shades close in color.
