Safety First with Madeira

As safety becomes increasingly significant in the workplace and government regulations become more strict, did you know that Madeira’s Fire Fighter embroidery thread is fire resistant? Meaning it will not continue to burn once it’s removed from the ignition source? Geared toward the protective clothing market, it’s the ideal thread for when safety is a top concern!

To address the fire safety concerns of various market sectors, such as fire fighting, aeronautics, and motor sports among others, Madeira developed Fire Fighter #40, Madeira’s fire resistant embroidery thread. Fire Fighter #40 is 100% Aramid and made up of Nomex® fibers from Dupont®. Aramid, is the generic name for a high-strength, flame-resistant synthetic fabric or fiber used in firefighters' protective clothing. Nomex®, a brand name for aramid fabric, is the term commonly used by firefighters. Madeira’s Fire Fighter #40 is heat resistant to 572˚F, complies with ISO standards and is available in 1,000 yard spools in 24 colors and 2,500 yard cones in 7 colors, which correspond to Madeira’s 100% polyester Polyneon. Fire Fighter is designed specifically for the commercial embroidery market. To learn more and view colors available, Click Here
